Different music sounds better on different speakers - but I could live with MB if that was the only ones I had. If you only have MB, you might want to hear some paper cone speakers - and their warm sound - quite different from MBs. I really enjoy them - although I have a warm souding paper cone speakers too, since MB sounds brassy, I miss the warm sound of a paper cone. There are more transparent sounding tweeters out there, but MB sound OK too. Especially brass instruments sound clear and realistic. They are good for many types of music - even classical. You must like metallic forward sounding speaker - not a polite and dark sounding one. Sorry for the Rant, but I am just disappointed that MB Quart isn't mentioned here more often. I collect MB Quarts (if you hadn't already guessed!!) and personally think that their tweets will hold their own against the best of whatever else is out there even against ones that cost quite a bit more. I will probably buy them sight unseen, based on my previous experience. I heard good reviews, but no personal experience. I want a pair of them as my flagship speakers, but haven't had the pleasure of hearing them. I was just also wondering if anyone has heard the Vera line and wanted some opinions. I have always used MB Quart in my cars and haven't heard anything else that can touch it. ****Sorry about the car stuff, I just am proud of my system and love it. The 2x 6 1/2 midbasses are wired parallel to 2 ohms off the 2500 (500w/channel) and the subs get the 1000W mono block. The front tweets and the rear fill use the 4 channels of the 4250 (250w each). The system is crossed over actively by the Amps internal xovers except for the rears, they use the passives.
